UPR Cayey RISE Program

The RISE seminar series offers faculty and students an opportunity to learn about current topics in biomedical research and state of the art methodologies to expand their horizons.

Seminars are offered in the Miguel Melendez Muños, Room MMM 101, or in the Auditorium of the North Science Building. Most are given during the universal hours of UPR-Cayey from 10:45am until 11:30am. Visiting scientists from the United States visit classrooms prior to the seminar to promote the seminar and encourage student interest. RISE alumni who are pursuing their M.S. or Ph.D. are also invited to speak of their investigations and the opportunities in biomedical research available to Cayey students.

Refreshments are available at 10:30am and are supplied by the local student clubs and groups. These include the Biology Honor Society (BBB), American Medical Student Association, Medical Technology Circle, SACNAS, Math Circle, and the Chemistry Circle.
